very good idea especially with live instruments or an EWI!Ģ Sadly I don't seem to be able to record piano parts into sibelius properly, wihich is a big pain. My workaround for this is to record each part into the tracks that it is routed into, and then quantize if that 's applicable. Rewire seems to not be able to lock them together. there is drift between Sibelius and the Daw.
The soundset makes it possible to send the correct keyswitches via markings or expression text. As a project goes further I'll try different patches and vst's, but at least I have a standardized beginning). These use the keyswitch patches.a basic template for writing. The midi flows through live, and into patches hosted in Vienna ensemble Pro( which means i can have permanantly loaded instances for woodwinds, brass and string sections. I am using Jonathan Lovings' soundset for EWQLSO, with his configuration that uses the mac's IAC ports. At the moment I am running sibelius as a rewire slave to Ableton live(could be any DAW - definitely no advantage to using Protools, I scoff at their "integration"!). I am approaching something workable, and it has been a long and arduous path. the vitality of real instruments, and the clarity of traditional notation and arrangement. I have for ages felt that it should be possible to go between notation and quality audio production in one seamless process, getting inspiration from both sides when one needs it.

It might sound a bit confusing what I'm really looking for, but really it's information from users doing this as professional as possible, as I'm guessing my way to a decent workflow - not knowing if anything better is out there.

I don't think theres much information about this out there, despite it's something that can take both Sibelius and Pro Tools to a higher level. It could be great if someone know of some professionals (or anybody really) who has shared their info about these things, and where it can be seen/read. But I'm looking for some user info from people using it on a somewhat daily basis, and find out which combinations and ways of using them together and different workflows, as well as setting up templates to get all the articulations and so forth.

I know how to set it up (to some extent, both as playback in Sibelius and Sibelius as slave in Pro Tools), and I do use East West Symphonic (couldn't afford the Hollywood Series just yet).
